We’ve pushed an updated version of our latest major release with Xcode 8.3 support to our stable release channels. iOS 10.3 introduces a new API for allowing the user to leave an App Store review without ever leaving your app using SKStoreReviewController. This flow has several flaws, mainly that users have to exit your application to leave a review. Previously, the best way to drive users to the App Store was to prompt the user to rate the app, then redirect them to the App Store app to leave a review. Managing App Store Ratings with iOS 10.3 APIsĭriving users to rate your app in the App Store is an important part of mobile app development, since higher ratings lead to more downloads. To get started, follow the instructions outlined below. Developers can install the latest version of Xamarin on Mac or Windows to take advantage of the new APIs introduced in Xcode 8.3, including App Store ratings management and using adaptive icons. All rights reserved.Yesterday, we shipped support for Xcode 8.3, which contains brand new iOS 10.3, watchOS 3.2, and tvOS 10.2 APIs. Here’s my complete AppDelegate.swift file: // I think it means that it got into DeskSpaceID.app but couldn’t run the function. I’m not sure what “Can’t continue” is trying to tell me. To call the function in my app, DeskSpaceID I get an error: DeskSpaceID got an error: Can’t continue createNewWindowWithTitle. When I use an AppleScript call like: tell application "DeskSpaceID"ĬreateNewWindowWithTitle("My New Window", 400, 200) I’ve added Scriptable to the ist file to enable AppleScript. If I run the function createNewWindowWithTitle from inside the AppDelegate.swift file, it works Just Fine. When I run My XCode app, it currently makes an app window and then makes another window using the createNewWindowWithTitle function, just a minimal window given a title. My idea for that is a Keyboard Maestro hotkey that will run an AppleScript that will call the createNewWindowWithTitle function in my DeskSpaceID app. Yesterday, we shipped support for Xcode 8.3, which contains brand new iOS 10.3, watchOS 3.2, and tvOS 10.2 APIs. That means being able to run the app/script/whatever from a Desktop where it isn’t already running. Fine, I’ll change desktops and then create the window. I have not been able to tell either AppleScript or Swift to move a new window to another desktop nor to create a new window anywhere other than the current desktop. I’m working on a proof of principle and right now that calls for being able to create a new window with a different title on each Mission Control Desktop. I’m new here so forgive me if this has been already discussed. Xcode is Apples integrated development environment (IDE) for macOS, used to develop software for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS.
